My interest in photography began in high school on the East Coast. Moving to the San Francisco Bay area in the late 1960’s enhanced this interest. Today I live with my wife, Christine, in Walnut Creek, California.

There is no standstill in nature, all is moving and changing, but a photograph records a stillness of the moment. I love to photograph these little islands of time, capturing the beauty and mystery that is all around us. Opportunities abound not only in exotic and faraway places, but also in neighborhood sunsets, a flower in the front yard or a sunlit tree in a nearby park. For my photography I use Nikon SLR cameras with a variety of lenses and a computer for post-processing.
It is a pleasure to present my work to you for your enjoyment. Take a moment in time home with you today.

Your images display a great deal of sensitivity toward the subjects you photograph. From my experience, some of them may be relevant to magazine market as well. Have you ever thought about that? Fortunately, you do not have to invest a lot of money. The first photo I sold was taken by a 4Mp Nikon Coolpix. What you really need to do is to find an appropriate magazine for your images. There are a few really good books and websites on the subject if you go looking. My suggestion is to check one of them - http://www.freelance-market.net - and try a couple magazines until you find out what can really work for you. And certainly don't be discouraged if your images are rejected or not used. After all, it’s fun!
